Defending the interests of campers and caravanners at an international level, the F.I.C.C. is constantly promoting this constantly growing form of tourism. The F.I.C.C. actively supports the affiliated Clubs and Federations as well as the campers in possession of the International Camping Carnet issued by the F.I.C.C., the international classification of campgrounds, the I.S.O. and CEN standardisation of equipment, health and safety, the study and application of solutions to problems, the stimulation of the camper to protect the environment and respect for cultural heritage. Created in 1933, the F.I.C.C. at that time comprised 16 Clubs from 7 countries. Today, it has 56 Clubs and Federations from 32 countries: a unique force which, through its Technical Commissions, represents, defends and promotes camping to national and international authorities.
