CafecISTO Americas: a chance to reconnect, find inspiration and continue building together the kind of tourism we want for our communities and regions.

A webinar in which the Americas section of ISTO, with the support of SESC Santa Catarina (Brazil), will officially launch the compilation of academic papers presented during the Encuentro de las Américas de Turismo Social 2025 held in Florianópolis: a publication bringing together research, experiences and reflections from different corners of the Americas, reflecting the vitality of a movement that continues to grow, organise and generate real impact through social tourism.

This webinar will mark the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Declaration “Towards a humanist, social vision of tourism”, a document which, three decades on, continues to guide and inspire ISTO and its partners in building a more inclusive, supportive and sustainable form of tourism, where people, communities and territories remain at the centre. We will be sharing the details of this great celebration with our partners and allies!
