The call for expressions of interest to host the 30th ISTO World Congress in 2028 is now open!
Held every second year, the ISTO World Congress is the leading international event dedicated to the social sustainability of tourism. It brings together public decision-makers, tourism professionals, researchers, social economy organisations and international institutions from around the world to discuss the challenges and best practices of tourism that is inclusive, sustainable and socially responsible.
The 2028 edition will be particularly special as it will mark the 30th ISTO World Congress, a significant symbolic milestone in our organisation’s history. As well as offering the host destination international visibility, it also represents an opportunity to position itself strategically within the social tourism sector, to create opportunities for networking and long-term partnerships, and to benefit from economic and regional spin-offs for the destination.
ISTO invites destination management organisations, tourist boards, public agencies, ministries of tourism and interested institutional partners to contact us (info@isto.international) in order to receive and review the Call for Expressions of Interest.
