Hérault Tourisme federates, informs, and stimulates the Hérault tourism actors, both public and private, to promote the destination, develop, organize, and add value to sustainable and inclusive tourism, and support the projects of tourism stakeholders. The aim of the new regional scheme for tourism and leisure development 2022-2028 is to continue to adapt tourism in the Hérault region to current trends and to the expectations of all types of customers, and to consolidate its positioning around sustainable and responsible tourism: sustainable development, experiential tourism, rootedness and differentiation of offers, cultural and nature tourism, gentle itineraries, accessibility to tourism and disability, social tourism with personal assistance to make it easier for everyone to go on holiday, and building subsidies. The aim is to make the region more attractive, competitive, and balanced, while respecting the 3 pillars of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.
