The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru (MINCETUR) is in charge of defining, directing, executing, coordinating and supervising the foreign trade and tourism policy in Peru as the governing body of the sector. Within this framework, it leads the design and implementation of Social Tourism in coordination with public and private organisations.
The objective of Social Tourism in Peru is to promote and facilitate that social groups with limited access to tourism exercise their fundamental right to enjoy free time and rest, enjoying a balanced and adequate environment for the development of their lives; conceiving tourism as an activity that should be enjoyed by all, regardless of any physical, social, cultural or economic limitation. In order to achieve this, the Ministry is based on four pillars: Inclusivity, participation, innovation and accessibility.
