The first World Leisure Day will be celebrated this April 16th 2021 all over the world with offline and online events.
We at the International Social Tourism Organization - ISTO are very excited to support the World Leisure Organization - WLO, which will celebrate the first World Leisure Day (WL Day) worldwide on April 16th, 2021.
Under the motto "Leisure for a better life", this day aims to reinforce leisure as a social right and its importance in everyday life, as well as to promote reflection on the accesses and barriers that still exist for many people around the world.
The programme will be developed in both face-to-face and virtual formats, including varied activities based on leisure contents such as physical/sports, social, touristic, intellectual, artistic, virtual and manual.
WL Day/2021 is coordinated by the World Leisure Centre of Excellence/USP (Universidade de São Paulo) together with Sesc (Serviço Social do Comércio and ISTO partner) and LAGEL, the Laboratory of Leisure Experience Management.
From ISTO, we invite all members and partners to participate in this event, joining the programme or proposing activities within the framework of WL Day.
