Sesc DF's mission is to promote socio-educational actions that contribute to the well-being and quality of life of service and tourism trade workers, their families and the community, towards a democratic society.
In 1971, the first DF unit was established. At present, in addition to the administrative headquarters, there are 8 units structured to develop actions in education, health, culture, social assistance, sports, leisure, nutrition and social tourism. Three additional units are planned for the near future, which will serve the residents of Asa Norte, Núcleo Bandeirante and Planaltina.
Sesc DF promotes equal access to services and activities that contribute to a fairer and more inclusive society. More than 1,400 employees are dedicated to these services, serving more than 500,000 merchants, dependents and residents in the country's capital.
