The Secours populaire français is committed to fighting poverty and exclusion in France, Europe and the world and to promote solidarity and its values. It brings together all kinds of people with different opinions and origins who wish to support solidarity. It acts independently by not judging the causes of the tragedy but by intervening on the consequences of the problems. The SPF is very attentive to the problems of exclusion: solidarity based on listening, food aid and clothing. It accompanies individuals and families in their activities and their rights: access to housing, care, holidays, culture and leisure, sports, and professional integration. Urgent or not, the respect of the dignity of the people assisted is essential, as is their mobilization, for being solidarity. Over all the world, whether emergency, rehabilitation or development projects, the SPF works closely with local associations who are able to identify the needs of the populations.
