The main objective of the municipality is to promote the tourism's positioning of Irapuato, focusing on the tourism segments that have shown great development and growth, namely: sports tourism, cultural tourism and tourism for all. Developing programmes focused on the three areas (professionalisation, training and the development of new products) strengthens the development of each area. In addition, it is planned to establish new routes and events that will contribute to greater economic fluxes and benefits in the city while organising the sector, connecting citizens to participate in these activities and generating a commitment of identity and belonging to the development of their city, which ensures the continuity of our actions. The administration considers social tourism as a right, and the circular economy as a way to preserve resources, maintain sustainability and strengthen the production chain.
