The Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit, the event on sustainable and social tourism that brings together public and private tourism stakeholders in Ibero-America for the 5th consecutive time, is just a few days away. It will take place from 6 to 9 September in Cancun, Mexico.
A great programme awaits participants at this hybrid event, which will feature top-level speakers such as Anna Pollock from Conscious Travel, Natalia Bayona from UNWTO, Simone Venturini, Councillor for Tourism of the Commune of Venice, and Rogerio Basso from BID Invest. In addition, one day will be dedicated to the celebration of the Mesoamerican Reef Day, organised with presentations, for example, in panel format that will present good practices of sustainable and social tourism in the MAR ecoregion.
The full programme can be consulted here.
This Summit will also be the occasion for ISTO Americas to officially close the Diploma in Sustainable and Social Tourism that it has been offering since last April to more than 50 public, private and associative actors of the Mesoamerican Reef ecoregion.
