FITEL is a federation of works councils (CRAL) founded by CGIL, CISL and UIL in 1993. Its main activities are:

• Tourism promotion;
• Assistance and presence in works councils;
• Training programmes on fiscal, administrative and tourism standards.

The associated CRALs develop tourism activities for their members:

• Organisation of numerous cultural and sports events.
• Recognition by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a National Aid Organisation.

FITEL is registered in the Register of National Social Promotion Associations.
