The Youth Tourist Centre is a national non-profit association that promotes and implements an educational project and integral training of the person, through moments of growth, commitment and social aggregation, inspired by the Christian concept of man and life, in service to people and the territory. It acts in the field of youth and social tourism, culture and cultural heritage, the environment and leisure, using the method of animation and addressing all age groups, especially young people. Born in 1949, the CTG is now present all over Italy with hundreds of basic groups, clubs and holiday centres in places of great tourist and natural appeal, with a widespread network of provincial committees and regional councils, involving thousands of people every year in its activities. The CTG is recognised by the Ministry of the Interior as a National Agency with Welfare Purposes and is also registered in the National Register of Social Promotion Associations of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies. Further official recognition as an Association is that granted by the CEI.
