Since 1991, Movijovem's main mission has been the mobility and tourism of young people in a sustainable, inclusive and universal way. It is also an instrument for the development and expression of every young person's personality, fostering a taste for free creation and civic and community participation. The different programmes (Youth Card, the Youth Hostels and the Intra_Rail card) are mechanisms for implementing the Article 70 of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic. Movijovem aims to:

• Provide the finest economic accommodation network in Portugal, complemented by discount services in complementary sectors in order to be recognised for its quality-price ratio, innovation and dynamism, as well as for highlighting a financially safe and sustainable activity.
• Target a young public and implement spaces for social and cultural exchange.
