ISTO presented its latest collection of good practices and gave information about ISTO's next World Congress in Peru.
An ISTO delegation composed of our president, Inés Ayala Sender, our vice-president, Anabela Correia, and our director for the Americas, Veronica Gomez, participated from January 22 to 24 in the International Tourism Fair - FITUR in Madrid, Spain.
It was a great opportunity for our delegation to meet various organisations (ISTO members) from Europe, the Americas and Africa as well as to exchange with potential members from all over the world.
Within the framework of this fair, our President and Director for the Americas, invited by the CETR - Centro Español de Turismo Responsable and AEPT - Asociación Española de Profesionales del Turismo, spoke at the XII FORUM OF RESPONSIBLE TOURISM -"Tourism and Climate Change, What can we do?" in order to present the ISTO collection of good practices "Tourism as a tool for development - 20 examples of fair and responsible tourism around the world", the International Forum of Fair Tourism FITS 2020 and the preliminary information for the World Congress of Social Tourism to be held next October in Peru.
