He is currently responsible for Europe Industry Affairs at Amadeus IT, a company dedicated to the development of technology and innovation for global travel and tourism companies. In his current position he leads regulatory and policy initiatives with the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council, relations with governments at national level and with industry associations, consumer groups, academia and other institutional stakeholders. Juan-Jesús is currently Vice-Chairman of the EU Travel Tech Association, which represents the European interests of travel technology companies. Finally, he coordinates Amadeus' work programmes with the World Tourism Organization, the European Travel Commission and participates in working groups with the World Economic Forum and the OECD. Juan-Jesús holds a PhD from Comillas Pontifical University where he presented his doctoral thesis on '' the adoption of mobile device initiatives by tourism companies in Spain: determinants and adoption models'' in February 2016. He is a member of the Tourism Committee of the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration. He has published the AECA Document on ''the strategies of tourism companies through mobile devices'' in collaboration with professors from several Universities and representatives of the travel industry.
