The Magical Getaway Foundation (MGF) is the only charity in Australia dedicated to social tourism. They provide first ever holidays to vulnerable or disadvantaged Australian children and their families. The holidays within Australia, which include visits to three tourist attractions at the specific destinations, are fully funded (accommodation, food, travel, souvenirs). All holiday recipients stay in self-contained accommodation. In return, the holiday recipients tell their stories of courage and resilience to the Foundation, to share with others. Their values: Integrity, compassion and respect. They advocate for the rights of vulnerable or disadvantaged children and families affected by domestic violence, mental health, homelessness, abuse or poverty.
