The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona (CCIB) is a non-profit association established in 1914 by Italian and Spanish entrepreneurs. It aims to enhance bilateral trade relations between Italy and Spain, supporting over 200 companies of various sizes through tailored services designed to boost competitiveness and expand international networks. The CCIB provides a wide array of services to its members. It organises events and networking opportunities to promote exchange, transfer of knowledge, internationalisation and foster business opportunities and relationships.
The CCIB works for the promotion of tourism and cultural heritage both from Italy to Spain and vice versa. It collaborates with tour operators, travel agencies, regions, and municipalities to spread sustainable and social tourism, while cooperating with Italian public authorities in given frameworks.
Moreover, the CCIB engages in European projects related to tourism, focusing on sustainability and digital transformation. These projects aim to enhance the digital skills of SMEs in the tourism sector, promote sustainable tourism practices, and support the growth of the social economy.
