Several ISTO members of the Europe, Americas and Africa sections met on 19 May 2021 to participate in the three webinars proposed by the different regional sections.
The day started with CafecISTO Europe, with a presentation of the Union Nationale des Associations du Tourisme (UNAT) -an association representing the main actors of social and solidarity tourism in France, which promotes access to holidays for all- and of the association la Route d'Artagnan, which aims to create the first European equestrian route for hikers and cyclists to promote cultural diversity in Europe. This webinar was moderated, in French, by Pierre Jouquan and Alain Libéros who respectively presented their association.
This was followed by CafecISTO Africa, moderated in French by Joël Capo-Chichi, President of ISTO's Africa section, and Gamaliel Njoya of the Association Batoufam Tourisme et Loisirs in Cameroon. They took turns to discuss strategies of resilience in times of post-health crisis by taking the example of the Cameroonian association.
CafecISTO Americas was also held, this time about the future of the tourism sector, a heart-to-heart conversation between members from various countries such as Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, etc. The debate was moderated, in Spanish, by Sergio Rodríguez Abitia and Verónica Gómez, respectively President and Director of the ISTO Americas section.
Hoping to see you all at the next CafecISTO International, which will take place on 16 June 2021!
