The association maintains a high professional standard in the mountain guide activity field (mountain trips, mountaineering, skiing, ski outside the slopes and climbing). They work on the improvement of the legislation in the field, in accordance with the exigencies and requirements imposed by the international tourism development. The main objective is to promote a high professional standard for mountain guides. It is registered with two types of courses. Nowadays, AGMR has 63 members: AGMR training instructors, professional mountain guides, members in the mountain rescue team, highly experienced climbers, people involved in mountain and ecology education and tourism companies managers.
